Prince George’s County Giant Shootout Kills Woman Security Guard

Friday morning, police at the scene of an accident involving an Oxon Hill Giant positively identified the two people who had been slain.

The security guard at Giant was identified by police as 43-year-old Willie Tate of Fredericksburg, Virginia.

Police arrested 20-year-old District Heights resident Zaila Akida after they say she tried to steal from a business.

According to the cops, Tate was declared dead right there. After the incident, Akida was brought to the hospital, but she was declared dead there.

Further inquiry verified their suspicion that Tate was attempting to prevent Akida from stealing merchandise. Tate was able to return fire when Akida, who had a pistol in her bag, shot him.
