Polk County High School Teacher Arrested Over Alleged Inappropriate Relationship With Student
According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, a Lakeland high school instructor was placed under custody on Friday for engaging in an improper connection with a student who was eighteen years old.
PCSO reports that Brandon Adams, 33, a Lakeland teacher at Kathleen High School, was taken into custody by Special Victims Unit investigators and accused of having s*x with a student by an authority figure.
The 18-year-old girl was the subject of inappropriate contact with him during her senior year of 2021–2022, and the investigation that followed resulted in a felony charge.

The victim revealed that during her final year at Kathleen High School, in June 2021, at the age of eighteen, she had moved in with Adams and engaged in a consensual s*xual relationship with him.
Sheriff Grady Judd stated, “This suspect used his position of authority over one of his students in the most egregious way.” “We will not tolerate this kind of behavior.”
