The criminal was caught in a high-speed chase
An arrest warrant for Jennings was issued by the Eastern District of Pennsylvania earlier this month, drawing the attention of federal prosecutors. After a high-speed chase through Brookhaven on Friday, police finally caught up with Jennings near Lenox Square mall. In addition to Jennings’ minor injuries, three police cruisers were reportedly vandalized.
The police in Brookhaven identified a vehicle that would not stop for them. According to the police, the pursuit ended close to Lenox Mall. Three police vehicles were reportedly vandalized. Jennings was arrested and taken to the DeKalb County Jail after sustaining minor injuries. It is unknown when he will be deported back to Philadelphia.
According to the Philadelphia Police Department, Jennings was wanted for the May 16 shooting death of 33-year-old Robert White. Officials said they discovered White seated in the driver’s seat of a grey Dodge Charger with gunshot wounds to the head and body. An ambulance took him to the hospital, but he later died from his injuries there. According to the Brookhaven Police Department, they helped another department in their pursuit of Jennings. He allegedly pulled over briefly before taking off again quickly.
