On Tuesday, police in Auburn, Maine, apprehended a man wanted in connection with a homicide in Pennsylvania. Authorities called Earl Hassan, 43, “Philadelphia’s most wanted.” Hassan was a passenger in a vehicle stopped on Kittyhawk Avenue at 11 p.m. due to an expired registration.
Hassan allegedly provided false identification to authorities, but his true identity was quickly established. After the traffic stop, authorities raided the suspect’s residence and found another pound of cocaine and drug paraphernalia.
The murder warrant for Hassan was issued in the Philadelphia area. – He is being held without bond at the Androscoggin County Jail to await his extradition hearing. Officers took Hassan into custody and seized crack cocaine as well as $25,000 in drug proceeds from him.
