Philadelphia Festival of Food, Wine & Spirits Welcomes actor Kurt Russell to Sign Bottles of Wine

The Valley Forge Casino Resort, Prussia, will host the ‘TASTE’ Philadelphia Food, Wine & Spirits Festival. The Event is organized on Saturday, October 22nd, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The Academy Award-winning actor Kurt Russell will be available to sign bottles of his ‘Gogi’ Wines at 11:00 am.

The Festival Invites the Most Prestigious Actor in Hollywood

According to Turner Classic Movies’ Robert Osborne, Russell was the 1970s’ biggest star for Walt Disney Co. It was reported in The Guardian that he is among the top actors who have never been nominated for an Oscar. In the Western series The Travels of Jaimie McPheeters, Russell played the lead role when he was just 11 years old.

This led to other roles, and at age 12, Walt Disney signed Russell to a 10-year contract. In 1998, Disney honored Russell by recognizing him as a Disney Legend. According to Russell, this is his most prized accolade. When he was younger, Russell wanted to be a professional baseball player, not an actor. As a member of the California Angels’ minor league organization in the early 1970s, he excelled as a switch-hitting second baseman until a shoulder injury forced him to retire. Later, Russell went back to acting.

Russell has been a major movie star since the 1980s, appearing in films as diverse as “Fast and Furious,” “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2,” and “The Christmas Chronicles” on Netflix, to name just a few of his many roles. He will only sign bottles of Gogi wines that have been purchased at the Event. No outside bottles or merchandise will be signed, and we cannot allow them in the TASTE! Event. To enter TASTE!, guests must be at least 21 years old.

PLCB Aims At Eliminating Harmful and Underage Drinking

The PLCB issues licences to 20,000 manufacturers, sellers, and transporters of alcoholic beverages and controls the distribution of alcohol throughout the state of Pennsylvania through 600 stores selling wine and spirits. Through collaboration with educational institutions, community organisations, and licensees, the PLCB is also working to curb harmful and underage drinking.

Nearly $19.5 billion in taxes and store profits have been returned to Pennsylvania’s General Fund since the agency’s inception. This money is used to support the state’s essential public services, including education, healthcare, law enforcement, and public safety. PLCB funds are used to assist the Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement of the Pennsylvania State Police, the Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs, and other state agencies and municipalities.

Festivalgoers will be pampered with an abundance of food, drink, and entertainment. There will be samples from the area’s finest chefs, restaurants, and caterers, as well as continuous chef stage presentations, at this year’s festival. Visitors can relax in branded lounges and peruse food-focused exhibits, and there’s even a Fine Wine & Good Spirits store on site for those who want to pick up a few bottles on the spot.

There will be entertaining stage demos by celebrity chefs and A-list personalities; tastings from award-winning wineries, breweries, and distilleries; samples from the region’s best chefs and restaurants; educational and informative stage demos; food-centric exhibits; and a Fine Wine & Good Spirits store onsite for the convenience of those who want to take part in celebrity bottle signings or purchase their favourite bottles right then and there.
