Paradise School Board VP, Two Children Killed in Parker County Plane Accident
A plane crash in Parker County on Sunday resulted in the untimely deaths of a North Texas surgeon and two of his children.
Tragic news out of Wise and Parker Counties. A member of the Paradise ISD school board along with two of his children died today in a plane crash near Poolville. Dr. Heath Smith was the board’s vice president. No word what caused the crash.

Identification of Victims and Community Mourning
Dr. Heath Smith, vice president of the Paradise ISD school board, was killed in the crash, along with his two children.
Dr. Smith’s significant contributions to the school district were highlighted by Superintendent Will Brewer, who asked the community to keep the Smith family in their thoughts and prayers.

Investigations Underway as Authorities Seek Answers
The Parker County Sheriff’s Office, the Texas Department of Public Safety, and other authorities were called to the Poolville crash site.
The plane, a twin-engine Cessna, took off from a Wise County airport, and the cause of the crash is unknown.
The FAA and NTSB have initiated investigations to establish what caused this terrible tragedy.
