Pandora to Create New Jobs in New York City

After opening a temporary office in July, Danish jewelry brand Pandora will open its permanent North American headquarters in New York City in early 2023, creating 133 new full-time jobs.

More than 27,000 square feet of office space will be available on the 35th floor of 1540 Broadway in Times Square. As it seeks to increase market share and double revenue in the US compared to 2019, the new location will increase global talent attraction and support its long-term growth ambitions.

Sales in the United States for Pandora topped $1 billion in 2021. The company plans to continue its rapid expansion by bolstering its brand’s appeal, diversifying its product lines, increasing its use of strategic networking, and creating an outstanding omnichannel customer experience and fulfillment infrastructure.

Empire State Development provides up to $1.5 million in performance-based Excelsior Jobs Program tax credits. This state agency promotes and encourages business investment and job creation across New York State. Sales, merchandising, marketing, finance, human resources, digital and e-commerce, real estate, legal, and operations are just some of the many business functions that will be bolstered by adding these 133 new positions.

Pandora’s new New York headquarters is a statement of the company’s commitment to its growth in the United States.
In a statement, Pandora North America President Luciano Rodembusch said, “As Pandora enters our third decade of operation in the US market, a New York headquarters will strengthen our long-term growth ambition, with the ability to recruit world-class talent and operate in one of the world’s largest commercial markets.”

We are excited to open this new office with the help of the state of New York and look forward to furthering our investment in the retail sector across the Empire States.

Pandora will expand its presence in the Big Apple by opening three more stores in addition to its nine in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, and the Bronx. Almost 500 retail workers are employed by Pandora’s 26 company-run and six franchised locations across the Empire States.

Along with its New York headquarters, Pandora has announced that it’s North America Hub will continue to operate out of its current Baltimore location at 250 W. Pratt Street through at least 2026. The company’s headquarters in Baltimore and its logistics hub in Columbia, Maryland, will continue to operate normally.
