When the “Operation Ten City Tour” stops in Cleveland on Saturday, the Huntington Convention Core in the city’s center will transform into a true hub of opportunity.
In addition to encouraging employment, education, and entrepreneurship, Bill Winston Ministries is presenting a faith-based program that will visit 10 cities in 18 months.
On Friday, Youth Night, several of the attendees received scholarships, MAC books, petrol cards, and bus passes. The goal is to enable people of all ages to follow their true calling. “Entrepreneurship is the solution to systemic poverty to the wealth divide and to closing that wealth gap for Brown and Black communities,” says Melissa Brown, one of the organizers.
The seminars and offerings, according to Pastor David Winston of Bill Winston Ministries, should serve as a source of inspiration. We’re only trying to show people that the church can be a resource; frequently, you see the church asking for handouts. Will you please assist us in doing this? We’re coming to Cleveland to lend a hand so that we may help grow the community here, not to ask for anything in return.
We have a food and clothing giveaway, we have a job fair, we have a business pitch competition, and we even have something for our youth and young adults, for our next generation to be able to help them monetize their social media following, at this all-day event on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until around 9:00 p.m. There will be thousands of prizes up for grabs.
Nicole Hennings, who was born and raised in Cleveland, is a bright example of inspiration. At the young age of 13, she completed both high school and college. It’s crucial because many children require role models, and if they don’t find themselves in those instances, they may conclude that it’s impossible.
