On New Year’s Day, there was a shooting at Fort Washington that left one man dead and two others injured.
Following a complaint of a shooting in the neighborhood, Prince George’s County Police Department officers were dispatched to Blandford Drive, which is located off of Bock Road, at approximately 3:50 a.m. on Monday.
When they got there, they discovered an injured man from the gunshot outside. He was treated at a nearby hospital and is reportedly in stable condition.

According to the police, a second male was treated for gunshot wounds in a private hospital. The individual, subsequently identified as Bowie resident Jarreau Sanders, 21, was declared dead after suffering gunshot wounds.
A woman furthermore sustained injuries as a result of the incident. It’s reported that her wounds are not severe, and a full recovery is anticipated.
In the case of the fatal shooting, detectives are attempting to identify a person of interest and motive.
