One Fatality, Three Injuries in Texas Town Solo-Vehicle Crash!
Three people were injured, and one person died in a single-vehicle incident near the intersection of County Road W and Alamo Road in the Town of Texas, Marathon County, on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at around 8:48 p.m. The Marathon County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash.
On Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at around 8:49 p.m., the Marathon County 911 Dispatch Center received a report of a single-vehicle crash that had occurred northbound on County Road W, close to Alamo Road, in the Town of Texas.
One person was declared dead at the scene of the collision. Two individuals had serious injuries and were taken by ambulance to nearby hospitals. One individual had some minor wounds.

While the Marathon County Crash Reconstruction Team looked into the collision, both lanes of County Highway W were closed for about four and a half hours.
This crash is still being investigated (case number 23.3830). The Wisconsin State Patrol, Wisconsin DNR, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, Town of Texas Fire Department, Merrill Fire & EMS, Wausau Fire & EMS, and the Marathon County Medical Examiner’s Office assisted the Marathon County Sheriff’s Office.
