Following a shooting on Sunday night on Indianapolis’ northeast side, one man died, and another was critically injured, according to the IMPD.
Officers were called to a residence in the 7300 block of Railhead Court, close to Hague Road and East 75th Street, at 7:15 p.m. on November 5 in response to a complaint of a person shot.
Officers discovered a car may have driven off the site with the victim inside, despite finding no victims despite signs of a shooting. After locating the vehicle, the officers pursued it to Community Hospital North.
According to authorities, the individual who had been shot inside the automobile was last categorized as critical.
Officers learned of another person who had come to Community Rehabilitation Hospital North nearby who may have suffered gunshot wounds as soon as they arrived at the hospital. There, a man who was in serious condition was taken to Community Hospital North, where he passed away.

According to IMPD, homicide investigators “located several firearms and multiple people were detained,” and they think that both males were shot on Railhead Court. According to the police, the men were acquainted, and the gunshot was not an act of vandalism.
“Detectives have identified multiple people who may have been involved and are working to determine if others were involved as well,” said the IMPD.
After notifying the man’s relatives, the Marion County Coroner’s Office will identify the deceased.
