Authorities say a biker was killed and his passenger was seriously hurt when their bike crashed into a car on Watsonville Road near Morgan Hill on Wednesday.
An independent witness told the California Highway Patrol that at 2:45 p.m., a 68-year-old man riding a Harley-Davidson was going east on Uvas Road near Watsonville Road with a 60-year-old woman as his passenger when he reportedly failed to stop at a stop sign.

As the Harley began to turn north on Watsonville Road, it crashed into the front of a Toyota Camry being driven south by a man from Prunedale who is 41 years old.
Both the man and the woman were thrown off the motorbike when the front of the Camry hit it. Police in California said the guy died from his injuries and the woman was airlifted to the hospital with serious injuries.

The Camry’s driver wasn’t hurt, and his case doesn’t seem to have had anything to do with drugs or drink. According to CHP, they don’t know if they had anything to do with the motorcyclist’s crash.
