The authorities have reported that a shooting that took place on Friday evening in Mason County resulted in the death of one individual and the injury of another.
The Mason County Sheriff’s Office stated that they responded to a call of a shooting that occurred in the Lewisburg area at approximately 10:30 p.m. the night before.

After arriving, they discovered that Earnest Nickell, 45 years old, had been hurt and that Justin Mitchell, 32 years old, had passed away.

To receive medical attention for his injuries, Nickell was transported by helicopter to the University of Cincinnati Hospital.
Although there have been no arrests made in connection with the event, the Mason County Sheriff has stated that they do have a person of interest, who is identified as Courtney Williams. Williams was apparently present in the vicinity at the time of the shooting.
