One Dead, One Hospitalized In Long Beach Shooting Incident
Near a neighborhood park, two persons were shot, one of them died. The Long Beach Police Department was looking into a second incident that happened at the same time and involved a self-transported victim to the hospital.
When the victim was found to have been the victim of a second gunshot, the police first believed she was involved in the shooting. One was pronounced dead at the site, and the other was taken to the hospital.
A third individual arrived at a nearby hospital suffering from a chest bullet wound. Officials from Long Beach verified that the incident had nothing to do with the two shootings.
Detectives from Long Beach are on the scene. The last sighting of at least two Hispanic male suspects was on Eagle Street heading toward Long Beach Boulevard. The motive and circumstances of the shooting are under investigation.
