The Kansas City Fire Department reports that one individual has died following a fiery vehicle collision on 71 Highway on Wednesday afternoon.
Due to an automobile accident on Wednesday, Kansas City fire and police were summoned to the southbound 71 Highway, immediately south of Meyer Boulevard. Responders discovered a burning Buick LeSabre when they got to the scene of the collision.
The Buick struck a big tree after veering off the road and across a grassy median, according to the police. The car caught fire and was destroyed.
One individual was discovered dead at the scene, according to the KCFD. To date, the victim’s name has not been made public by authorities.
