In Blue Grass, there was an early Friday morning crash that resulted in one fatality, according to a news release from SCSO.

On January 5, at around 6:12 a.m., a call was received by the Scott Emergency Communications Center concerning a single-vehicle collision close to the 11700 block of Coon Hunters Road, a paved two-lane road situated east of Blue Grass and north of Buffalo.

Authorities conducted an investigation and found that a white 2018 Nissan Sentra was driving down the road in a northerly direction when it fell off at the start of a curve.

After that, the car went sideways through a ditch, struck a barrier, and took off into the air. After hitting a tree, it eventually came to rest, officials said.
