The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is looking into an East Valley crash that left one person dead. Tuesday at approximately 1:08 p.m., two vehicles collided at the intersection of Lamb Boulevard and St. Louis Avenue, which is close to Sahara Avenue.
The investigation found that an International 4700 truck was traveling south on Lamb Boulevard when it entered the two-way center turn lane just north of St. Louis Avenue, and a Nissan Versa was traveling north on Lamb Boulevard approaching St. Louis Avenue in the right travel lane of three.
When the Nissan made a left/east turn onto St. Louis Avenue, the International 4700 truck’s driver allegedly refused to surrender the right of way, entering the Nissan’s direction of travel and causing the front of the Nissan to collide with the right rear of the International 4700 truck.
After being taken by EMS to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center with potentially fatal injuries, the driver of the Nissan passed away.
