HOUSTON, Texas (KXAN) — To commemorate the Houston Astros’ 2022 World Series victory over the Philadelphia Phillies. All Houston ISD district buildings and schools will close on Monday.
HISD Superintendent Millard House II announced the closure on the district’s Facebook page early Sunday morning.
The letter stated that “all HISD schools. The offices will be closed Monday, November 7, to allow our students, staff, and families to attend the victory parade.” “We are honored to have Houston Astros as a partner in education and our schools.”
All HISD activities are set to resume on Tuesday, November 8.
The Astros won the World Series with a 4-1 victory over the Phillies on Saturday night, giving them four wins out of six games played.
