O’Hare International Airport Witnessed an Emergency Plane Landing -All Passengers were Evacuated Soon

While in flight, a plane that was supposed to go from Topeka, Kansas, to Poland declared a general emergency, prompting the pilot to make an emergency landing at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport.

The pilots noticed something was wrong in the plane’s cargo hold

A representative from the chartering airline, Atlas Air, said that shortly after taking off from Topeka, the pilots noticed something was wrong in the plane’s cargo hold. The crew followed the standard operating procedure as they redirected the jet to land at O’Hare.

When the plane landed in Chicago, authorities conducted a safety check and gave the all-clear for everyone to depart. On Twitter, Flightradar24 reported that a sensor discovered smoke in the cargo hold, which prompted the emergency.

It is unclear if any injuries occurred as a result of the incident.
