Using a stolen gun, the man unintentionally shot and hurt himself outside of a Walmart in Lake Worth, according to the police.
According to Lake Worth police on X Wednesday morning, officers were called to the Walmart located at 6360 Lake Worth Blvd. in response to a report of gunfire.

A man said to them that he believed someone was approaching his car while he was waiting for his girlfriend in the parking lot. He unintentionally shot himself in the hand and leg when he reached for a revolver out of reflex.

The man’s handgun, according to the police, was taken in North Richland Hills. According to the social media post, he was treated at a nearby hospital and will face charges of stealing a firearm later on.
