This past Friday, the New York Road Runners provided free sneakers to more than one hundred youth runners from the borough of Brooklyn.
As part of a larger initiative to provide footwear to children all around the United States, this donation is being made.
The New York Road Runners’ Frosty 5K event will take place on Saturday at 8 a.m. in Prospect Park, and around 4,000 pairs of New Balance sneakers have arrived in New York City as part of the ongoing push to encourage a large number of students to participate in the race.
