According to police, a woman hit by a car on Staten Island died. After the ambulance that rescued her crashed on the way to the hospital.
According to police, the 34-year-old woman was struck just before 6:15 a.m as she crossed Jewett Avenue near Keiber Court in Westerleigh.

The ambulance was hit by a Jeep Grand Cherokee just a few blocks away. At the intersection of Jewett and Main avenues, EMS was transporting the injured woman to the hospital, according to cops.
According to officials, the impact was compelling that the ambulance flipped over on its side.
According to police, a second ambulance arrived to transport the woman to Richmond University Medical Center, where she died from her injuries.
The two EMTs, as well as the driver of the Jeep, suffered minor injuries. They were also treated at a nearby hospital, according to police.
