Netflix, the video streaming service, is raising its fees in the United States in response to increased competition in the industry. This comes only a few weeks after Netflix lowered pricing in its India operations by a third.
Netflix continues to be the leading force in the extremely competitive video streaming business, and the epidemic has resulted in an increase in demand for streaming services such as Netflix, HBO Max, Disney Plus, and other similar services, among others.
An example of a growing tendency is the marginal growth in the various paid plans, which has been increasing over the years.
To be more specific, a $1 rise implies that users in the United States will now pay $9.99 for the basic plan, while the HD plan will now cost $15.49, an increase of $1.50 over the previous pricing.
The 4K plan, which is Netflix’s most expensive product, has seen its price increase by $2 from its current price of $19.99. Existing subscribers will be notified of the revised price and then charged during a grace period during which they will not be charged.
Netflix has stated that it will send emails to existing users when the new measure is in effect for 30 days. Netflix Canada will also be impacted by the new pricing structure.

Netflix India, on the other hand, has seen a decrease in the costs of all of its subscription packages. There were between Rs. 50 (about $1) and Rs. 200 (about $3) in savings when switching from the basic to the premium subscription.
It is believed that the new prices, which went into effect on December 14, were a promotional offer for the New Year. Monthly prices for Netflix, on the other hand, are slightly more than those of its competitors in the market, such as Amazon Prime and Disney+Hotstar.
