In May of 2021, following a thorough investigation into the circumstances of Gianna’s murder, Gallardo, who had been the boyfriend of Gianna’s mother, Jolene Beyer-LaCrue, was taken into custody.

The Wheat Ridge Police Department reports that on July 18, 2020, officers visited Rosales and Beyer-LaCrue, but they were unable to establish probable cause for abuse despite their conversations with them. That occurred a little more than two weeks before Gianna passed away.
According to the Wheat Ridge Police Department, the mother and father were both pointing the finger of blame at each other for the bruise.
It was reported by the department that they had submitted a report to the Office of Children, Youth, and Families within the Colorado Department of Human Services.
Also, Beyer-LaCrue was taken into custody on an allegation of child abuse that resulted in the death of the kid. Her trial is slated to take place in the month of February.
