According to police, a man who was transported to the hospital on Monday morning after being arrested in Center City, Philadelphia, managed to get out of custody.
Richard Renzo, also known as Richard White, was taken into custody on a grand larceny warrant issued out of New York City shortly after three in the morning, according to PPD, on the 800 block of Market Street.

Police claimed that Renzo was also wanted in Philadelphia on an outstanding probation warrant. Renzo complained of a shoulder ache and was brought to Jefferson University Hospital in Center City.

On Monday, PPD released a news statement stating that the injury “occurred prior to police contact.” Officers received word that Renzo had left the hospital at around six in the morning.
