Man Arrested In California City For Firing Gun In Neighborhood

In California City, a residential neighborhood was reportedly disturbed by a gunshot on Thursday morning, which led to the arrest of a 20-year-old male suspect.

According to the California City Police Department, they received a report on April 27, 2023, at approximately 10 a.m. about an individual discharging a firearm in a residential area of the city. Responding officers promptly arrived at the scene and identified the suspect, Kevin Steven, 20 years old, as fitting the description provided.

A recent inquiry has uncovered that Steven had a loaded 9-millimeter handgun in his possession, and it was indeed him who discharged the firearm in the residential locality.

As per the police, the reason for Steven’s firing and his intended target is currently unknown. Moreover, no casualties resulting from the shooting have been identified as of now.

Steven has been apprehended and charged with several offenses, including willful discharge of a firearm, carrying a concealed firearm, and carrying a loaded firearm in public.
