Mallory Beach’s civil trial has been postponed

It has been decided that the civil trial related to Mallory Beach’s death will not take place in January.

Alex Murdaugh’s lawyers successfully asked Judge Daniel Hall to postpone the civil lawsuit.

Alex needed to put his whole attention on his approaching criminal murder trial. Therefore Murdaugh’s attorneys sought a postponement.

In relation to Mallory’s death in March 2019, her family has filed a lawsuit against Murdaugh, the estates of Paul and Maggie Murdaugh, and Parker.

Mallory was thrown into the ocean after the boat Paul Murdaugh was operating slammed into a piling while he was inebriated. After seven days, her body was discovered.

The court has not scheduled a fresh trial date. The murder trial of Alex Murdaugh is scheduled to begin on January 23.
