Local Indiana Man, 53, Dead After Lawnmower Accident!
Police report that the 53-year-old man from Indiana who was critically hurt in a lawnmower accident in Fairfield last week has passed away.
On October 31, Shawn King was hurt when the lawnmower he was operating at the Villages of Wildwood complex capsized, causing him to fall into a pond.
The mower twisted and fell on top of him while he was cutting the area adjacent to the pond. According to the authorities, he and the equipment fell into the water.
King was saved from under the zero-turn mower by firefighters, and after being airlifted to Mercy Health-Fairfield, he was flown by medical helicopter to University Hospital in Cincinnati.
Police claimed that King passed away on Monday at 12:57 a.m., according to hospital officials. He worked for the company All Seasons Lawn & Snow.

The day after the tragedy, representatives from the Occupational Health and Safety Administration arrived at the scene. They announced that they had started an investigation, which may take up to six months to finish.
