Emergency Alert: Lawrence County Faces Widespread Power Disruptions, 700+ Outages
Region 8 is dealing with severe storms Thursday night into Friday morning.
Despite the fact that Central Arkansas is under a tornado warning, our area is not in its direct path. Nonetheless, the storms bring their own set of challenges.
Lights Out in Several Areas
Power outages have been reported in several locations as the storms increase.
Craighead Electric Cooperative reports 721 outages in Walnut Ridge and Hoxie as of 10:35 p.m. Entergy Arkansas also reported outages, with approximately 160 customers in Batesville without power, affecting Charlotte, and more outages in Monette and Leachville.
