Justice’s Pursuit Ends In Red Bluff: Lassen County Murder Suspect Arrested!
On Friday, authorities located and detained a person wanted for m*rder in Lassen County outside of Red Bluff.
According to the Lassen County Sheriff’s Office, they received a complaint of an assault in Westwood on Friday at about 4:48 p.m.
They discovered the victim, later identified as 62-year-old Marty Robert Ashley Sr., lying on the side of the road with significant head and facial injuries when they arrived at the site.
He received life-saving treatments, but the LCSO reports that he was declared dead at the site.
The LCSO reported that during the inquiry, they spoke with witnesses who named Edward Harold Biggs as a likely suspect.
Witnesses claimed to have seen Biggs and Ashley fighting before the former left in his red pickup vehicle.

The police issued a “be on the lookout” warning for Biggs and his truck.
Bigg’s truck was seen by CHP at roughly 5:56 p.m. in Dales, close to Manton Road on Highway 36. Outside of Red Bluff, the CHP officer stopped Biggs.
Detectives from the LCSO were dispatched to Red Bluff to gather information and question Biggs, who has now been arrested in the Tehama County Jail on a m*rder charge, according to the LCSO.
