A devastating car collision in Johnson County took the lives of six individuals, including two young children.
The accident involved a minivan and a pickup truck near County Road 1119 and U.S. Highway 67, close to Cleburne.

Identifying the Victims:
The deceased were identified as Rushil Barri, the 28-year-old minivan driver, and five others from Alpharetta, Georgia: Naveena Potabathula (36), Nageswararao Ponnada (64), Sitamahalakshmi Ponnada (60), Krithik Potabathula (10), and Nishidha Potabathula (9).
Lokesh Potabathula, one of the minivan passengers, survived but sustained critical injuries.

Collision Details:
The tragic incident occurred when a 2014 Chevy Silverado pickup, traveling southbound on U.S. Highway 67, veered into the northbound lane in a no-passing area.
This resulted in a head-on collision with the minivan. Two 17-year-old boys, occupants of the pickup truck, also suffered critical injuries and were rushed to Fort Worth hospitals for treatment.
The accident led to a temporary closure of the highway, causing disruptions, but normal traffic flow has been restored.
Authorities are working diligently to inform the families of the victims as they continue to investigate this heart-wrenching tragedy.
