J’asiah Mitchell, 2, Was Found Dead in Trash; His Father to Be Charged With Murder!
East Point Police Department reports that 2-year-old J’Asiah Mitchell has been positively identified as the body discovered at a waste collection point in Georgia last month. According to the East Point Police Department, Mitchell’s father, 23-year-old Artavoius North, will face charges of murder, hiding the death of another person, and abusing children.
North had stated that last month’s armed robbery resulted in the child’s abduction. After the child was reported missing, a frantic search was started for him. But in the hours following the announcement of his son’s disappearance, North’s account began to diverge.
East Point police charged North with lying to them about the robbery one day after they declared the youngster missing. North was eventually named as a suspect in the child’s death despite being the last person to see the infant alive.

According to court documents, North has also been charged with felony making false claims and misdemeanor false report of a crime.
