The southbound lanes of I-25 between San Antonio and Jefferson are now again open. Following a collision that left one individual in serious condition on Wednesday morning, police stopped all lanes.
According to Albuquerque police, two automobiles were involved in a crash, and at around two in the morning, officers were called to the scene. According to police, a southbound Cadillac on I-25 was rear-ended by a Lexus SUV that was moving quickly.

The Lexus driver reportedly fled the scene on foot following the collision, but New Mexico State Police apprehended him later.

According to officials, the driver of the Lexus was taken into custody when open containers were discovered within. According to the APD, a passenger in the Cadillac was critically injured and sent to the hospital.
