An elderly woman was discovered dead in her west Houston apartment on Monday morning, and authorities have launched an investigation.
The 19-year-old woman was discovered unresponsive by police at 1:20 a.m. at her residence at 2777 Briargrove Drive.
The lady was declared deceased when paramedics were contacted. The reason for her death is uncertain, although authorities allege she died as a result of apparent head trauma.
The motive and manner of the woman’s death will be established by an autopsy.
