How Americans Can Get Stimulus Checks in 2022?

For Americans who missed out on the Child Tax Credit this year, stimulus checks of $1,400 for each taxpayer and another $1,400 for each qualifying dependent can be claimed in the 2022 tax filing.

A child tax credit of up $3,600 dollars per child will also be available to be claimed by qualified family.

The checks are part of the U.S. government’s effort to cushion the economic impact of a pandemic of citizens.

An eligible couple with one child filing jointly will receive $1,400 each as taxpayers and another $1,400 for their qualifying dependent. They will receive a total of $4200 will be received.

Using the adjusted gross income as a determinant of who gets the stimulus check, couples who make less than $150,000 and any single person who makes below $75,000 are eligible.

Parents who have children under the age of five or younger are eligible for a maximum child tax credit in 2021 of $3,600 per child and $3,000 per child between the ages of six to 17.

An advance payment of 50 percent of the Child Tax Credit was made to families begining from July 15 by the Internal Revenue Service and the last batch of payment is due for December 15.

The payment was based on 2019 and 2020 tax returns. If you make more than $75,000 as a single person or $150,000 for a married couple and $112,500 as the head of a household, your maximum credit starts reducing gradually. Each $1,000 of income above the cut-off level reduces your amount by $50.
