Extradited to Hall County, a Florida man is expected to face burglary charges related to things taken from two homes in 2020. Two Gainesville homeowners on Pine Shore Circle reported burglaries on April 14, 2020.
A necklace adorned with a gold coin was among the valuables that were reported stolen. The other person stated that a set of kitchen knives had been stolen from a different residence in the same neighborhood.
The investigation turned up evidence that Stephen Mack Diamond, 54, of Pensacola, Florida, had visited both residences.

After identifying Diamond as a suspect in the crimes, detectives were able to connect him to the day the thefts in Hall County occurred—that is, the day the stolen coin was sold at a pawn shop in South Georgia.

He is being imprisoned at the Hall County Jail after being extradited from Santa Rosa County, Florida.
