Hit-And-Run In Atascocita: 16-Year-Old Riding Bike Hospitalized

A teen was critically injured after being hit by a vehicle while riding his bike on Monday morning. Without assisting the 16-year-old, who is currently unconscious at Texas Children’s Hospital, the vehicle left the scene.

Isaiah Rousey has been placed in a medically induced coma. When a passing motorist noticed his broken bike, they stopped to find him hurt. The 16-year- old’s relatives claimed they are still having trouble comprehending how the person who hit him left him for dead.

“You cannot simply leave the area. A person cannot be abandoned in such a state. Even a puppy wouldn’t be left on the road like that, “Roxan Gonzalez, Isaiah’s aunt, stated. According to Gonzalez, her family is in shock and disbelief. They’re having a hard time picturing how a curious, positive adolescent could end up in the hospital with fractured bones all over his body and a brain injury.

A driver hit Rousey when he was riding his bike east near 8311 FM-1960 between 2 and 4 a.m. on Monday. His aunt claimed he shouldn’t have been out at that time, but he should have been secure in his own neighborhood.

“He’s a wonderful young man. He has a terrific heart and is a good child. That was not fair to him. Nobody deserves that, “added Gonzalez. The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is investigating who hit Rousey. His family and the investigators are requesting anyone with relevant information or footage to come forward.
