After a house exploded on Saturday afternoon in Washtenaw County, there were four fatalities and two injuries reported.
At approximately 3:35 p.m., a 911 call reported a possible explosion in the 8000 block of Winters Lane in Northfield Township.
Marc Breckenridge, the public relations officer for Emergent Health Partners, informed The News that emergency medical services, police, and fire departments responded to the location.

Breckenridge said that rescue workers discovered four persons who had passed away and evacuated two other individuals to Michigan Medicine.
Northfield Township is located approximately ten miles to the north of Ann Arbor. A total of seven ambulances and six fire departments from the surrounding area arrived at the incident.

The cause of the explosion is being investigated by officials from the Northfield Township fire department and police department, according to Breckenridge.
In response to requests for comment, neither the Northfield Township Fire Department nor the Northfield Township Police Department provided an immediate response.
