It was reported in the news release issued by the prosecutor that witnesses told investigators that Castillo went to the residence of Bailey Smith’s girlfriend with a group of other kids so that one of them might engage in a fight with the girl.
Smith was reportedly trying to stop the brawl when he and his brother were shot, according to friends and family members. Deputies were informed by witnesses. It was Castillo who was the one who released the shots.
