Florida Man Arrested for Allegedly Stealing $102,000 from Armored Truck at Circle K

Stefon Carew, a Florida man, was arrested after reportedly stealing $102,000 from an armored vehicle stationed at a Circle K gas station in Hudson.

The incident occurred on January 3, as Carew parked his van next to the GardaWorld armored vehicle.

Carew’s daring robbery comprised unlocking the armored truck’s driver’s door and stealing two money bags, one carrying $54,000 and the other $48,000.

Fortunately for police, the entire episode was filmed by a nearby surveillance camera, which provided critical evidence.

$102,000 Theft Case Solved: Suspect in Custody

Detectives quickly identified Carew as the primary suspect, using facial recognition software and a pawn shop transaction dated October 2023.

On January 24, a warrant for his arrest was issued, which led to his capture. Carew is now charged with grand theft and is being remanded in custody on a $100,000 bond.

This case serves as a reminder that advanced investigative techniques and surveillance technology are increasingly being used to bring criminals to jail, including the most audacious of them.
