Father Dies After Dispute with Son in Miami-Dade
According to the officials, the Miami-Dade Police Homicide Bureau is conducting an investigation into a gunshot that occurred at a residence in Southwest Miami-Dade on Sunday evening. The incident resulted in the death of one man.
The Miami-Dade Police Department reports that the incident took place at a residence located in the area of SW 297th Terrace and SW 161st Court on Sunday evening after 9:30 p.m.
When officers arrived, they discovered a man who was suffering from gunshot wounds, according to the investigators. The units were called in response to a shooting that had occurred.

When officers arrived at the property, they spoke with a mother and her son, who was 23 years old. The mother and her son reported that a dispute had arisen between the victim and the mother, and the son had attempted to intervene in the situation.
As soon as the son became involved, there was a back-and-forth exchange of gunshots, and he immediately dialed 911 in order to get medical assistance to provide assistance.

It was eventually determined that the victim, who was 46 years old, passed away as a result of his injuries after being taken to Jackson South Medical Center.
Both the mother and the son have been taken to the headquarters of the Miami-Dade Police Department, where they will be questioned by the detectives present.
