Fatal Truck Accident In Pickaway County Claims One Life
During the evening hours of Wednesday, a guy who was 34 years old passed away when his truck collided with a tree in Pickaway County.
At approximately 11:30 p.m., the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office said that its dispatch center received a message informing them of a collision that occurred on Florence Chapel Pike close to state Route 104.
Upon arrival, deputies discovered a black 2017 Ford F-150 that had been parked off the road and had sustained significant damage. At the scene of the accident, it was determined that James Herlan, the truck’s driver, had passed away.

Herlan was driving in the opposite direction, around a bend, when he lost control of his vehicle, as stated by the sheriff’s office. The truck toppled over and collided with a tree, which resulted in the car landing back on its wheels once again. The crash remains under investigation.
