Fatal Shooting in Multnomah County: Man, Woman, and Dog Killed
A shooting that occurred early on Wednesday morning in Multnomah County claimed the lives of a man, a woman, and a dog.
Deputies were called to a disturbance with a firearm in the 8200 block of Southeast Cottrell Road, which is close to the Clackamas County boundary, just before four in the morning.
The sheriff’s office acknowledged that a gunshot had occurred, but they withheld any additional information, such as if anyone had been injured or the suspect’s description.

As soon as deputies arrived on the scene, neighbors in the neighborhood got a reverse 911 call. At 6:15 a.m., the temporary shelter was lifted.
Police confirmed the deaths in a statement they made several hours after the incident, at approximately 3:30 p.m.
Clackamas deputies attempted to pull over a white vehicle near SE 98th Avenue and SE Minuteman Way in Clackamas, according to police, as they were looking into the incident.

The deputies pursued them after the driver refused to stop. After the vehicle came to a stop and the deputies heard a gunshot, they found the man driving it was dead.
The victims and the driver were acquainted, according to investigators, who suspect the driver was engaged in the shooting on SE Cottrell Road.
While the investigation was ongoing, the police stated there was no longer a threat to the public but they did not disclose any further details.
