One man was killed early on Sunday morning in McLean in what appears to have been an accidental gunshot, according to police.
Officers were dispatched to the 1700 block of Old Meadow Road, according to information the Fairfax County Police Department posted on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Officers are on scene of a death investigation in the 1700 blk of Old Meadow Rd in McLean. Preliminarily, one person reported they accidentally shot an adult man. Officers discovered a man who had been shot when they arrived. Afterward, the individual was declared deceased. His identity is still unknown, but according to investigators, the shooting was unintentional, and everyone involved was detained.
