Deal with Mark Cuban from “Shark Tank” for a Dallas-Based Black Wine Company

Mark Cuban, owner of the Dallas Mavericks NBA club, invested in Wondry Wine. It is a wine company started in 2021 by husband-and-wife duo Whitney and Chaz Gates in North Texas, on the ABC show Shark Tank.

“Shark” Investors

Season 14 of the programme included the pair. They were among the hopeful company owners that got to present their ideas to the “Shark” investors. To promote their “re-imagined, higher-alcohol level, fruit-infused wine line,” the sales team donned t-shirts that said “Be Bold” and “Sip Different.”

Cuban awarded them $225,000 for 15% interest in their start-up wine firm. It is after being so pleased by their presentation in episode 6 (airing on November 11, 2022).

Mango Citrus Twist, Peach in Peace, and Sangria Especial are just a few of the “cocktail wines” available from Wondry Wine.

These wines are fortified with organic fruit extracts. Cocktail creams, described as “an adult spin on a milkshake,” are also on the menu and may be enjoyed on their own or poured over ice cream or coffee.

Wondry as a Business Partner

Cuban expressed his delight in working with Wondry as a business partner in a tweet dated November 12.

On November 11th, Wondry sent a thank-you Instagram message to their followers.

After earning her degree in viticulture from Grayson College in Denison, Whitney Gates worked in marketing for 13 years. It is by overseeing brand and sales management at firms including General Mills and Keurig/Dr. Pepper.
