Deadly Crash Happens Again within a Few Days on the Same Street-Chicago Crash on Cottage Grove Leaves 4 Hurt

On the same roadway where a fatal pileup occurred just two days before, a three-vehicle accident left four people injured in Chicago’s Pullman neighborhood on the South Side. The accident occurred Friday afternoon at 103rd Street and Cottage Grove Avenue intersection.

The girl, 16, was turning from Cottage Grove onto 103rd Street when she was struck by a westbound SUV driven by a 75-year-old man, according to the police. The police also said a Ford Escape carrying a 22-year-old and a 24-year-old female driver was hit. The front is nearly destroyed, and the police report that both young women inside have suffered severe injuries.

According to authorities, the 24-year-old lady was in severe condition when she arrived at the University of Chicago Hospital. In addition, a 22-year-old was brought to U of C Hospital in stable condition.

Authorities said that the 75-year-old motorist was brought to Advocate Christ Medical Center in fair condition after sustaining minor injuries. The 16-year-old driver was also injured but was otherwise in fine shape after being transported to the University of Chicago.

The 75-year-old guy was not handed any tickets, according to the police.
