Justin Sylvester keeps his head held high

According to Deadline, NBCUniversal canceled the E! daytime talk shows Daily Pop, which featured Justin and former The Real co-host Loni Love, on August 26. According to the outlet, the decision to remove Daily Pop and its evening counterpart, Nightly Pop, from the lineup due to company restructuring. After Daily Pop concludes in mid-September, a new unnamed show will begin airing nightly in late October. Nightly Pop will come to an end in early October.

As a result, it led to the restructuring of the leadership team. Tammy Filler is the EVP, Editor-in-Chief, and creator of the digital originals at E! News. It will remain in her position and have three direct reports: Jen Lavin will lead creative, Jamie Blynn will oversee E! online editorial, and the company is looking for someone to manage digital strategy.

As SVP, News Operations, Ed Zarcoff will oversee the production side of the business, reporting directly to Wilson. Vinnie Fusco and Kristin Killackey will lead all first-run production.

Justin has been the only co-host to remain on Daily Pop since its inception in the spring of 2017. Though he hasn’t directly addressed the cancellation news, the Today show contributor appears to have expressed his feelings in an Instagram video.

“From the top of the morning,” he captioned an Instagram video of himself on a rooftop.

We agreed to meet again as soon as possible—an understanding of the new organizational structure we’d like to present today.

We are establishing a centralized “Terrace Studios” umbrella to share critical support functions such as stage, production management, hair, and makeup across the Access and E! News brands. It will allow us to work more competent and more assertive, maximizing existing expertise while freeing up resources for larger-scale competition.

It’s a natural fit for these two incredible brands to collaborate. Access has reestablished itself as the broadcast home of entertainment news, and E! News remains one of the industry’s most iconic multi-platform brands.

Daily Pop fans rushed to Justin’s Instagram comments section to show their support after hearing the news. “I can’t imagine not having you on my television every day!!!” “I can’t wait to see where you shine next,” one user said. “I can’t wait to see who gets the honor of picking you up!” “You’re the reason I watch E!” said another. “Please let us know where we can find you in [September],” said another fan.

Furthermore, Justin revealed a few days later that he had traveled to Como, Italy. In an Instagram video, he can relax on a boat with a glass of wine. “I burst out laughing. I sobbed. He captioned it, “I Como’s.”

Strengthening is one of our top priorities, Ercole !’s in entertainment news for the foreseeable future. To that end, we are restructuring the leadership team to assist us in that endeavor better.

One of the essential assets for the brand is still its digital footprint. Over the past few years, Tammy Filler has accomplished a remarkable amount in increasing engagement. He will keep his position as EVP and Editor-in-Chief of the online E!

In addition, the news organization is building an extensive library of original digital files. Three direct reports will guide Tammy’s team. In the coming years, his teams will help to shape and grow the brand. Jen Lavin will lead creative, and Jamie Blynn will oversee E!. Chris Smith will watch E!

The team is looking for someone to manage digital strategy and online editorial. I believe that each of these executives is exceptional at what they do and that this new structure will position this team for future success.

Furthermore, we are expanding our ‘center of excellence concept to the manufacturing side of the business. As SVP, News Operations, Ed Zarcoff will report directly to me; he will work with Vinnie Fusco and Kristin Killackey, who will continue to work closely with overseeing all first-run production operations.

Ed will continue to lead digital production management, news operations, photography, and booking. Ed’s institutional knowledge and previous newsroom experience make him a natural fit for this expanded role, and I’m confident that This modification will streamline and strengthen our manufacturing process.

Finally, as we continue to think about the future of E! and its news offerings, we will launch a new show on the linear network in late October that will air nightly. The details will air in the coming weeks. Our vision for the linear show is to return to the E! News brand’s roots as the gold standard of entertainment news coverage.

As we continue to promote the brand in this space direction, Daily Pop will end in mid-September, and Nightly Pop will end in early October, allowing us to focus on our new show.
To show my appreciation to the Daily Pop and Nightly Pop teams for their creativity and dedication, which included working countless hours to keep these shows up and running during the pandemic.

The change can be difficult, but I am genuinely excited about the future of these brands we will create together. In the coming minutes, you’ll see a meeting invite for a virtual Town Hall at 10:15 a.m. PT / 1:15 p.m. ET appear on your calendar so we can connect and walk through these changes together.

I appreciate your dedication, flexibility, and support as we proceed with this procedure. I hope to “see” you again soon.

Similarly, fans took advantage of the opportunity to send him heartfelt messages. Justin, I realize that this was only the beginning, but your future is bright.” one fan wrote.
