As the February 15 property tax deadline approaches, Cuyahoga County property owners are receiving additional support from the County Treasurer’s Office.

This year, taxpayers have been granted a later deadline compared to the usual January 26 due date.

The extension to February 15 is a result of the County waiting on vital information from the state necessary for completing the billing process.

Tax bills were dispatched in mid-January to ensure property owners had sufficient time to prepare.

Those who have yet to receive their bill are encouraged to contact the County Treasurer’s Office directly at 216-443-7400, option 1, to obtain their tax information.

Convenient Online Payment and Easy Pay Service

To streamline the payment process, Cuyahoga County offers online bill viewing and payment on the county’s website, allowing property owners to manage their taxes efficiently from the comfort of their homes.

Additionally, the county’s free Easy Pay service provides a flexible payment plan option, enabling taxpayers to schedule their payments monthly, semi-annually, or annually, depending on their preference.

Diverse Payment Methods to Suit Every Taxpayer

Understanding the varied preferences of county residents, the Treasurer’s Office has made several payment options available:

Mail Payments: Taxpayers can send their payment via check, cashier’s check, or money order. Including the parcel number ensures faster processing. Payments should be directed to Cuyahoga County Treasurer, 2079 E. 9th St., Cleveland, OH 44115.

Phone Payments: For those who prefer to pay by check, credit, or debit card over the phone, the service is available by calling 1-877-738-1212. Note that fees may apply.

In-Person Payments: The Treasurer’s Office welcomes taxpayers to make payments directly at the County Administrative Headquarters, accepting cash, checks, money orders, and cards.

Extended Hours for In-Person Assistance

To further assist taxpayers, the Treasurer’s Office has set special hours leading up to the deadline. On Saturday, February 10, the office will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

On the due date, February 15, the hours will extend from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., ensuring everyone has the opportunity to meet the deadline without undue stress.
