Crime in New York City: Suspect Arrested in Deadly Bodega Shooting Where The victim was with 10-Year-Old Daughter

Last week, a man was shot and killed inside a bodega in Inwood, and police have finally arrested him in the case. Joseph Morros, according to authorities, shot and killed another man on Thursday in front of the victim’s young daughter. The suspect and victim disagreed at the deli on Nagel Avenue and 144 at around 4 o’clock in the afternoon. The 30-year-old Tykeem Berry, who was killed, was shot in the chest.

“I can’t bear the thought of her kids witnessing their dad’s murder. There’s a chance it’ll have consequences for her down the line. Issues are possible for her. We decided to confine her to the house. We satiated her thirst by providing her with soda and other beverage preferences. We had a chat with her, “the shopkeeper remarked.

There was no harm done to the victim’s daughter

At Harlem Hospital, Berry was formally declared deceased. Surveillance footage captured the man walking out of the bodega with his hand in his green coat as the fight escalated. The perpetrator allegedly returned to the store and shot Berry in the chest before fleeing, according to the police.

The source of the argument had not yet been identified. A store neighbor claimed that Berry was quiet and relatively unknown. And yet, the neighborhood was rocked by the audacious, callous murder.

Police are investigating whether or not Berry’s 19 prior arrests played a role in this shooting or if it was just a random incident. Morros is being held on charges of first-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
