Cowboys-Giants Thanksgiving Game Sets Record

“America’s Team” was appreciated by record numbers.

The Dallas Cowboys beat the New York Giants 28-20 on Thanksgiving Day at AT&T Stadium. According to Fox Sports, 42 million people watched the game, making it the most watched regular-season game ever.

The previous record lasted almost 30 years. The New York Giants-San Francisco 49ers “Monday Night Football” game in December 1990 drew 41.474 million viewers.

The Cowboys-Raiders Thanksgiving Day game last year was the third-most-watched regular season game ever with 38.531 million viewers.

In Dallas’ first Thanksgiving Day win since 2018, Dak Prescott fired two touchdown passes to tight end Dalton Schultz, while Ezekiel Elliott and rookie Peyton Hendershot both scored.
